It occurs to me that a lot of new members aren't entirely aware of who the staff members are around here and who to speak to regarding what so I figured I'd do a quick overview of why the staff are you here and what their roles are!

First of all, the WG staff are here to ensure that the community is kept running smoothly for everyone. This includes encouraging discussion in threads, keeping threads on track (and deleting/moving as required), warning members who step out of line and to ensure that no bullying or harassement takes place - WG is intended to be an open community for all and no should ever feel pushed away! Equally though its important to remember the golden rule: treat others how you wish to be treated. If you act like a jack-ass to others then you're going to get similar treatment.

If you ever have any issues, you should contact a member of staff though its adviseable to look at the list below and see which staff member is responsible for that area:

• Blahhead - general moderator; evil mod.
  
• xStyle - general moderator; WG dev.
  
• Unique - Admin(Twitter.FaceBook) Social Mod and general forum moderator.
  
• Pollux- general moderator
  
• Sardonis - generator moderator; RPG moderator; blog expert.
  
• LamboGTR - general moderator,
  
• FrozenStar- general moderator
  
• AKO- general moderator

Retired staff:

• Fasckira - administrator.
  
• Kaizeras - administrator.
  
• Loonybin - general moderator.
  
• Silenus - general moderator.
  
• NaNoNoIzE - GarageFM and TS-leader.
  
• Pinky - WG chat moderator.

Every staff member is always more than happy to deal with any issues so ultimately you can contact whom every you prefer but for fast resolutions its best to approach the staff member directly in charge of that area. For example, if you had an issue in the Chat you should contact the chat moderator or an admin. If you have a problem accessing the WG FB/T, you should contact Unique. If you have questions regarding the RPG, you should address those to Sardonis.

As I always say when I get these soap-box moments, if theres anyway we can help you guys have more fun here and enjoy the place please let us know.

You're right, still AFAIR Sil or someone else had(if he don't have right now) some Blog-related priviledges before site update.

EDIT: Now I remember, earlier only beta testers could write blogs, and they had green custom title "Blogger"

Early bloggers just had to apply to be a blogger and then got shifted to a unique group. Now anyone can be a blogger. You no longer have to apply and be shifted to a separate group. It had nothing to do with your state of being and the beta.
