There are about 15 PC's connected with a hub(am not sure if it is called hub).
I can transfer files from 1 PC to another and even Counter Strike can be played over this LAN but when i try to create a new server ...i get error that connection to the LAN server is lost.And at that instant, on other computer i can see that created server and when i try to join i get the same message..then i tried to connect 2 of these PC's, with the same settings, just with a ethernet cable and i could start LAN in MW!
So now, where am i going wrong in settings? Do i need to change settings in MW or my network..?
Why can't i play when it is connected to that hub?

You should just try out Tunngle,GameRanger or pLAN for LAN (Online Play) Play, there's no need for any cable, just Internet connection ^^

Quite possibly, their needs to be a dedicated server for playing MW in LAN.

However, anyone that is hosting a LAN would hopefully realize they should have a Dedicated server.

Anyways, this topic has been unearthed, thanks to Bred. That being said, this topic is being put back 6 foot under.
