No, you're not right. You said the reason that it'll suck was due to it's story. That's not even a problem, the problem for people is the FPS cap, and control issues.
So no, you can't say you were right, you're wrong.

thats not all i said actualy, so ur wrong to say that...
- Cheesey storyline
- Mass use of action/shooting/explosions that arent necessary
- A playable movie, no choices on what to do.
- Frostbite engine renders the world weirdly
- Customization is garbage
- Driving the car is a pain, reminds me of Undercovers driving engine with tht heroic driving bs
- Everything is integrated into career mode, no single player. At least theres a challenge series
I have to say there are upsides:
- The Maps are nice, i missed driving in Nevada
- Multiplayer/Autolog integration was a nice idea (time -/+ from first place on speedwall)
- breakable barriers (like in carbon) and the ability to drive off the road into a ravene was a nice bring-back. they should have that in every NFS game so noobs dont wallride.
- Challenge series is back
Oh, and yes, i played the game with a friend, so yeah
Whats next now? a world race? call it "The Flight" cause thats possible and if they do that, ill be going to COD for good. Glad i got MW3 at midnight, now thats a way to spend $60
(EDIT NOTE: if they brought back Highway 318 from NFS Prostreet and added it to The Run as an extra segment/map in the game, i might spend my money to get the game for that one map. best map in prostreet imo)

Something I didn't like? The fact that you have to defeat One-77, El Camino, SLR and 370Z guys twice. Yet you don't lose positions if they 'pass' you out of nothing. And you don't interact with them, with radio messages or stuff like that.
Too many skips too. You do a 5 minutes long race and boom, you've travelled 300km. D'oh. Make the races at least 20km long, for god's sake.
Just think about it, ProStreet was something simmilar, and yet much better than this, and that was 4 years ago

- Cheesey storyline (Seriously? The Story is " Get to New York and not get killed by random people". That's not cheesey, that's what you call "barely a story". Not great either, but get it right
- Mass use of action/shooting/explosions that arent necessary (There was only a few races with shootings [1st one, a few in Chicago], 2 more with any sort of explosions [Not really an explosion, but Las Vegas, and Independant Pass]. That isn't a "mass use", that's using it on occaision. And FYI, some of those action areas were the best in the game, especially the last race )
- A playable movie, no choices on what to do. (As with all the other NFS games, and ALOT of other videogames. Though I still have to tell people there was only 3 times you even have QTEs [Beginning stage, Las Vegas, Chicago])
- Frostbite engine renders the world weirdly (Forstbite has it's issues, I'll admit)
- Customization is garbage (That I agree, but it wasn't necessary in the first place)
- Driving the car is a pain, reminds me of Undercovers driving engine with tht heroic driving bs (Nope, UC handled way worse. This really feels like HP if you take drifting out of the equation and made the speed more realistic)
- Everything is integrated into career mode, no single player. At least theres a challenge series (Idk, I think career was too short.)

- Challenge series is back

The game isn't perfect, but yeah, it has it's issues. Mostly the fact that they really need to make longer tracks, and the ability to use more cars in Career, as with the technical issues. Map reuse is also meh, since you literally drive the same stretches of road 3 times in Chicago. Best courses was that really twisty one near the beginning of the game, all the ones in the Rockies stage and New York IMO.
Also the fact that the GT-R gets shafted performance wise... AGAIN. Either way, I had fun and started my second run, so they must have done something right.
EDIT: Lol, apparently the nintendo versions of The Run is pretty good, possibly better than the standard copies

the worst part of it is the number of times you have to sit through the annoying loading screen, either for changing stages or while resetting the car. cant understand why they made the car reset everytime you are off the track even by 2 inches or so. its ok for mp but in sp its extremely frustrating. this game would have been soo much better if each stage would have had more by-roads or just been more open. gameplay is just too linear.
but this is definitely the most visually stunning racing game ive played even though its a console port.

Yes the graphics are truly amazing! I think it has better graphics than in Forza 4.

True but this makes you stay on the track instead of gunning it into a corner. I'm using the Shelby supersnake and it likes to do just that. lol

Umm....have u compared the two? lol. forza is way...way....WAY more realistic graphics wise than the run. do a side-by side. i own F4 and played the Run. Forza kills the runs visuals.

Ill admitingly say that id rather play this than another UC or World. It is a step in the right direction, but a small, small step. this game would've been better if they had maybe options on a path to take that would determine the route you'd take. Would've been cool to drive through Cleveland or Detroit
I want to see game-play of it! ive looked all over Youtube for some and haven't found squat -_-

I play them on a 52' Samsung flatscreen sir, the run's frostbite engine renders the world poorly and the cars dont look all that. Forza, everything is life-like. the grass moves, dude, u cant beat tht
But anyways, unless i get $65 out of nowhere, ill be waiting till xmas to get this from my dad. Ill just get it to play something.

Mass use of shooting & explosions: Not nearly as much as Call of Duty
A playable movie: Every NFS with a storyline. And a lot of games with singleplayer.
Frostbite being weird with rendering: Frostbite 2 is still a new engine, there are bugs to be ironed out. DICE games are like this, they've got a long post-production cycle.
Customization is garbage: This is my gripe with Underground 2. Excuse me but every bodykit in that game was designed by someone without functioning eyeballs. Or whoever' behind Mansory.
Driving the car is a pain: It's Hot Pursuit. And I doubt you played that because it still wasn't Underground 3.
If you want to switch to Call of Duty, fine, that's one less Underground 3 fanboy to put up with. I hope you like quickscoping.

Switch to Windows Basic theme as it consumes less RAM compared to Aero which is a RAM eater
It helped me alot as my frames were dropping less often and the gameplay was smoother.
