K I have to remind you guys what Kawa noticed, that based on this article anyone who violates the ToS on a daily basis will be banned :ghost: So this along with 72 hours ban thing... result would be anyone who violates the ToS on a daily basis gets banned for 72 hours first time as a warning. lolwut, now you people see why I hate "Play4Free" concept taken by EA BBtrollers from the already complicated "Free2Play" concept?

daily basis
I think some of you are mis-reading this. EA means they are checking for hack or cheats on a daily basis. The game could have some auto-detection for hacks, and upload some type of data related to suspected hacks. to the servers, but given all the bugs in the game and the possiblity for false accusations, it would seem that somewhere along the line, you would want a real person involved before an account got banned. Then the issue is the small size of the staff reviewing data for possible bans versus the large number of players in NFS World. I'm not sure if there is a good solution.

The real issue is that NFS World has a higher percentage of cheaters than previous NFS games, even though most of those older games had no cheat detection at all. I don't know why cheating has become such an issue for NFS World, free to play, unbalanced player field (car and part performance), the type of players that like NFS World, ...

Difference in prices in various countries for the same product is discriminative-and that is much much bigger issue then violating TOS.

It cna be difference in percentage up to 15% but for the same product the price to be more than 200% difference that is plain discrimination and racism. That is why cheap boost buyers will not get banned.

it is violently opposed; and Third, it is accepted as self-evident."

Actually this is the way World of Warcraft works. In the USA WOW is about $15 per month, while in China the law only allow charges for actual time spent online, and players pay for prepaid cards which are about $4 for 66 hours of actual online play, which is about 6 cents ($0.06) per hour (this has varied a bit from year to year). NFS World's gambling for parts via card packs could be an issue in China. I don't know if China allows players to pay for virtual content (cars or parts) as opposed to paying for time spent online or a one time fee for indefinate play like a retail game. Wiki has more info on regional issues with WOW:

My game got corrupted (again!) while updating. When reading ToS I noticed that one part says "Have in mind that this sofware has anti-cheating Punkbuster technology, it will scan your computer with an objective to avoid cheats. For more info about Punkbuster, including infos about unistalling, read clause 3 of these EUALA (ToS)"

It's in Portuguese, but I translated the underlined part, that says about Punkbuster, so I think NFSW uses it.

Punkbuster didn't do much, if anything with previous NFS games, but as I previously posted, cheating wasn't much of an issue with previous NFS games, even without any cheat detection. Also punckbuster or any form of cheat detection can be hacked as well as the game itself, so this can turn into a never ending battle.

If EA's solution for cheaters is to ban their accounts, then that's going to require some type of human verification, and with a small staff reviewing what is apparenlty a large number of potential cheaters, not much is going to happen. If the solution for cheaters was changed to "mild" disqualification (no win or loss recorded, zero cash and zero rep rewarded, no lucky draw card), then assuming false disqualifications were somewhat rare, then that would eliminate needed a staff to review accounts, and it wouldn't generate many complaints.

Then again, it seems that EA is primarily motivated by revenue, not player experience, so unless an issue gets to the point that revenues drop, EA isn't going to do much about it. It could be that nothing has changed at all in terms of actual cheat detection or banning, but by announcing a ban hammer, it might scare off some cheaters.

In other words, hackers spamming everyone with working links that give free boost would make make EA to spam hackers as well with the ban hammer.
