The real issue is that NFS World has a higher percentage of cheaters than previous NFS games, even though most of those older games had no cheat detection at all. I don't know why cheating has become such an issue for NFS World, free to play, unbalanced player field (car and part performance), the type of players that like NFS World, ...

It cna be difference in percentage up to 15% but for the same product the price to be more than 200% difference that is plain discrimination and racism. That is why cheap boost buyers will not get banned.

It's in Portuguese, but I translated the underlined part, that says about Punkbuster, so I think NFSW uses it.

it's not about how fast you drive, it's about how you drive fast.

If EA's solution for cheaters is to ban their accounts, then that's going to require some type of human verification, and with a small staff reviewing what is apparenlty a large number of potential cheaters, not much is going to happen. If the solution for cheaters was changed to "mild" disqualification (no win or loss recorded, zero cash and zero rep rewarded, no lucky draw card), then assuming false disqualifications were somewhat rare, then that would eliminate needed a staff to review accounts, and it wouldn't generate many complaints.
Then again, it seems that EA is primarily motivated by revenue, not player experience, so unless an issue gets to the point that revenues drop, EA isn't going to do much about it. It could be that nothing has changed at all in terms of actual cheat detection or banning, but by announcing a ban hammer, it might scare off some cheaters.
