No unlock rewards for multiplayer wins either, just make it all possible offline but have MP help towards it.
If there is a story, stick with it!
Make Quick-time events be able to be controlled with a mouse like BF3.
Test the controls with all controllers with all platforms please.
Do what HP did with Photo Mode and save an uncompressed version on the hard disk before uploading it to Autolog.

They could also put in some one offs or cars that can't be produced for some weird reason. When I say this, I'm thinking of that 430 Scuderia based Stratos. Ferrari won't let it be produced, but I don't think Michael Stoschek would mind his car being immortalized in a game. Besides, Ferrari won't license to NFS, even if they did to Asphalt (and that's a street racing game ffs), and that would be a nice "Up Yours!" to Ferrari for that.
I think there should be limits on customization for specific cars. While customization is nice, World just proves you can't trust people to not do things that make the manufacturers reconsider their licenses.

But somehow the color options weren't up to par with my tastes, so a simple color wheel instead would be enough for a customization option for me.

Last Ferrari's seen in NFS were in HP2, and one Shift DLC.However, there aren't many Ferrari's that look good and most of the newer cars just look awful...look at the Enzo...I think it came out of a cow's butt lol
EA has the license for pretty much every manufracture, so you shouldn't miss Ferrari when you ahve Dodges,Chevy's, Lambo's or Pagani's.

Now that you mention it, I hope they don't forget the arrow keys exist on a keyboard. Forced-WASD like The Run isn't cool.

DX9 support (recycled from HP 2010), I believe some people still have the old XP system. Or even Criterion had to switch to Frostbite 2 engine,at least it had to use the BF3 style or even better than BF3, just because BF3's graphic was (what could I said is) mostly optimized so far, and it's even on par with CryEngine 3 on Crysis 2, despite it doesn't support DX9 (CE3 does support DX9). But when comes to The Run, it needs "fully supercharged" computers to run it well because it's badly optimized and completely flawed, even my laptop was usually unable to run the game at all. Sometimes it does run just fine, but it's usually crashed when I tried to run it.
DLC support for PC. Lots of players who only owned PC always ended up with big disappointment of being left of absolutely lack of support of DLC in PC.
Visual customization. Tuning is not Criterion's style, but at least they should give the options of light customs.
Storyline. Another non-Criterion style. I think this is what Most Wanted should be, but I'm not very sure whether Criterion should be able to deliver it to the anticipated players.
Wider car selections. The cars should be available to use once the players have reached certain requirements as they progress throughout the career mode, not just unlockable only through multiplayer.
Quick race and custom race mode. It's time to get back those modes since they're absent in HP 2010 and The Run.
And finally, more new cars. It's should be at least a Nissan because Nissan was not appeared in the original Most Wanted, and even the Criterion's game debut for Toyota and Lexus. And that's even more...
