Note: I was totally puzzled as to what angle to come from after the last segment. So I just turned on some music and went with the flow. This is the result. I've an outline for the rest of this angle atm...
The dark streets provided a haven for the wolverines as they roamed the desolate city. Nothing stirred in the surrounding buildings, or what was left of them anyway. Most of the building were now hollow shells, all glass was gone, vines and creepers twisted their way up the walls, both inside and out. The streets were broken up, the result of tree roots, and, while light poles still stood, there was no power left to illuminate them.
Darkness began to settle over this depressing scene. As the sun dipped below the jungle, more wild animal began to filter into the city, some familiar, most not. Throughout the night the sounds of fighting, mingled with screams and shrieks of pain prevented any sleep.
As dawn broke over the horizon, the animals departed. A few birds arrived and flew aimlessly around and through the buildings. Around midday, she stirred and stretched, having been tucked in a little hole, attempting to make her presence unknown to the local wildlife.
After listening intently for a minute to make sure the way was clear, the girl swung down from the third story to the second. Poking through the rubble, she couldn't locate anything useful, so she continued to the first floor. There she poked around some more and uncovered what appeared to be a cash registrar, in very poor shape. Finding a large heavy chunk of concrete, she proceeded to smash open the registrar. Only a few coins were inside. She removed those, thinking they might hold a clue as to where she was, but decided to examine them later.
Finding nothing else, the girl cautiously ventured outside and down the street, in the general direction of the city center. The only signs of life were of birds. Quite colorful birds, some of them were, but they payed no heed to her as she moved along.
The farther along she went, the more the shops seemed to hold. It appeared as though the shops on the outer edges of the city had been looted, but the farther in, the less was missing. She entered several of the buildings, in the search for something to defend herself should the need arise. She had no success, beyond a short metal pole, which was better than nothing. She did find a clothes shop, and, finding a dress in fairly decent condition, she went in search of clean water to wash it. Her own clothes had suffered badly in the crash, so she felt it was justifiable to find something nicer.
A clear, flowing stream was just what she needed, and she soon had the dress hanging, drying. As there were some nearby buildings, she decided not to go any further that day and instead explore the buildings.
The first held nothing of value. Or rather, the stuff of value had suffered. A number of long knives were among the rubble, each with its blade rusted and broken. The next building, a small house, held bed and some rubble was blocking two other doorways. She inspected the bed, but it was pretty bad, so she decided not to spend the night there. She made a mental note to come back and attempt to access the other two rooms later.
The third and final building was a small apartment building. The ground floor yielded a large keying and she made her way through each apartment. Most had nothing, but in one, she found a small sewing kit and in another, an unopened pocket first-aid kit. There was a hatchet in another apartment, but the rope that had held the head to the handle had busted long before. However, she took the two parts with her, thinking that she might come across something she could use to repair it.
Darkness came on and the girl made her way back to the house. She had seen a ladder to the roof as she left. Now, she climbed up it and found a little nook into which she could be sheltered. There, she managed to doze off, even as the night air was rent by the cries of wild animals....

Well, all I'll say is that this is NOT a new character. She's been around before. But if you look at the last Behind the Scenes blog, you may get a clue as to what's going on in the area she's in.
that's all I'm saying....
Will have to re read then, thx for the tip
