first of all thanks CC for picking me for WG´s spotlight and thanks U, Andreea, Fasck and all the others who were and are responsible for this website and community.

My name is Johannes (the J in JSFAST), and I´m a 20 year old business student from Germany.
I started playing Need for Speed World about 1 1/2 years ago and joined the WG last June.
According to WG´s color code I´m also "Official EA Staff" and yes, I´m working for EA as a unsalaried moderator on their German forums.
Apart from that I´m also a member of the JDM themed Team Laterfire which was one of NFSW´s first crews and you might have read one of my guides, for example those ranking World´s cars or the newbie guide telling you how to buy further cars, where to tune your cars, etc.

Need for Speed:World, although it has quite a variety of bugs and lacks content (except cars).
Things I really like are the free roam mode which allows meetings like our JDM Meet, time attack for NFS-S, NFSUnlimited and of course our new WG leaderboards and the possibility to interact with other players from all over the world using the games chat options. Probably the most outstanding feature is World´s optical customization which allows us the design great cars like those in our gallery, as long as we don´t need more then 31 layers...

As stated above I´m studying business administration at a university which is pretty time consumpting, apart from that I´m doing several sports, including soccer, running, biking and skiing and I love to listen to music, especially to EDM and Indie.

I would add the connectors and the canyons as soon as possible and I would visit the forums more often.

I would give it a 6/10, the game itsself is pretty cool, but I´m not happy with EA´s policy regarding those "micro" payments which turned out to be rather huge in NFSW.

I've kind of let the spotlights slip due to time but none the less it's time for another spotlight and it's the one and only host of the host of Crew battles and I think a pretty good gfx guy named SPE3DSTER

There isn't much to talk about me. You can always check my topic in "introductions" ..Naah..Just jk My name is Alex aka. SPE3DSTER in NFSW. I'm 26 years old and I'm from Iasi, Romania. At the moment I'm a student on chemical engineering.

As about cars and car racing i can say that i love all about it, but a particular passion is rally racing. In the gaming area..oh well... I've tried all types of games, from Mario to World of Warcraft, but still, my true love are the racing ones.

Whats your favorite NFS Title

I've played played all NFS games except Undercover, 2010 Hot Pursuit and The Run. I think i like them all, each one of them was a "piece of art" at their time. But if i'm to pinpoint one i guess it will be the Underground. That game was different from any other game at that moment. The whole underground racing scene in front of your eyes and 2 new modes in racing games: Drift and Drag. Was just awesome!!!

What are you doing when not playing NFS

When i'm not playing NFS i usually browse NFS and WG forums , play with Photoshop, studying for university and more recently organizing the Sprint Series.

Whats your favorite car within NFS World

No doubt here..Impreza Hatchback..the only car for which i've bought SB. Otherwise i'm a free player

What would you change if you were a dev on world

There are some things to change around. I'll start with car balancing. Then i guess i'll add more modes and new content/areas. And I guess i'll try harder to get some Hondas here. Street racing isnt complete without them.

What dream car in real life would you love to drive on the autobahn

Dont know if i Autobahn is the right place for me Maybe more like driving the dream car on a rally stage on Monte Carlo . But i guess it's only one beast: the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2

What is your most memorable moment in any nfs game?

Thats easy. When i was skipping classes (ages ago ) to go to my local internet cafe and race in a local NFS Hot Pursuit 2 LAN event. Where i finished first

Favorite NFS song?

"Jerk - Sucked In" from the Underground sountrack. I remember event now how my heart was beating when i used NOS there for my first time with this song playing

How would you rate EAs attempt at bringing an MMO racer back?

What attempts? EA is lucky that it has the best MMO racing game from a even worse mmo racing games list. But considering that they at least add now and then new cars and stuffs i'll give them 5 out of 10.

2 new features for WG

as everyone is hopefully aware now but if your not we have 2 new features to WG.

The first is not really new as we had it previously but ran into some issues with it several months back and was disabled but something I wanted as well as others when I took over administration of World Garage is the Leaderboards.

You can find it in the navigation or on the top right box on the main page.

We still have a little work to do on it but it's completely functional

The second feature is simply cosmetic but I think is a great way to show appreciation to the members here who take the time to make their rides look awesome and share with us is a rotating site banner. We'll come up with some fun ways to encourage the community to submit their rides for this but basically it takes a image and on page load will grab that random image and show it in the header of the site.

What's your favorite NFS Title?
My favorite is the first one, "The Road & Track presents: The Need For Speed". It came with my Playstation 1 when my mother bought it.

What are you doing when not playing NFS?
During my free time I like to draw cars, most of them are made using Paint, but sometimes I use Photoshop or draw in paper too. Drawing is my hobby. When I'm not drawing I go out with friends, go to parties, go to the gym and stuff. Another passion is cycling, I love to hit the roads and go to another cities with my bike. When I'm not in free time, I go to university and study (mechanical engineering).

Whats your favorite car within NFS World?
I don't have one favorite, usually I like 80s and 90s cars and some muscles too. I use Volkswagen Golf in lot of races because my father had an old Passat (this image is an example of it, it's not my dad's), with a front very similar to the Golf in World. Others that I like is Countach, Supra, RX7 and other more that was in the firsts NFS series.

What is your most memorable moment in any NFS game?
Many of NFS first series participated of my childhood, I love tracks of NFS Hot Pursuit 1, like Atlantica/Aquatica, Redrock Ridge/Lost Canyons, Rocky Pass, Hometown and others. In NFS 1 I loved the cars and in High Stakes the pursuits.

What would you change if you were a dev on World?
I think I would contact more frequently with players, listen their suggestions for the game, things that devs are supposed to do.

What dream car in real life would you love to drive on the autobahn?
Lots of them, but I think a Lamborghini Diablo or a full tuned old Passat would be good. I like 90s italian supersports and compact "sleepers".

What brought you into the NFS franchise?
When my mother bought a Playstation, NFS first title came with it.

Which NFS classic would you like to have in your personal garage?
Lamborghini Diablo SV or Countach from first NFS Hot Pursuit.

Favorite NFS song?
Story of The Year - And the Hero Will Drown, but I like other musics too.

How would you rate EAs attempt at bringing an MMO racer back?
At first time I was disappointed with cars performance distance, but what they did in Corvette Z06 changed my mind. I know it's a slow process, but the NFS team is making changes in the game. Bugs happens in all games and cheaters are players' fault, not development's team. I think they are doing a good work. From 0 to 10? 8 I think is good

I am Michael Cameron Cutler, a 19-year-old college student highly interested in writing fictional literature and video gaming. Best believe that as long as there is something of interest for me, I will (attempt at least) to write a fiction story on it. In World-Garage, I am known as many things, but above all else, I am well known as the creator of the ever-popular Performance Part Guide.

Whats your favorite NFS Title?
I would have to say the original Need for Speed Underground, as it contains the least riciest customization system next to The Run. Although the visual tuning alone is not the reason for it being my favorite. In my honest opinion, it is one of very few NFS games that give me a true sense of speed, especially in my favorite compact car of all time, the Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Not to mention, it's the only NFS game I've played with a tolerable story.

What are you doing when not playing NFS?
When not racing my arse off, I'm doing what I do best, writing. My most notable writings have been the posts in the RPG "Bayview Nights", ran by Blahhead, and whilst I have no involvement in the starting developments of it, all I can say is that it has been an absolute honor to be a part of it. I also have two other projects, A.R.M.E.D. and Need for Speed: Beyond Limits, a fanfiction that I have not touched for months now Along with those would be watching/reading independent or Progressive-leaning news sources and listening to video game soundtracks.

Whats your favorite car within NFS World?
That would be my all-Pro 240SX. It has been with me through thick and thin, helping me stay competitive with Silvias and a few select T2s and T3s. This is the only car I refuse to sell in-game. That and my Z4 GT3.

What would you change if you were a dev on world?
First of all, optimizing the game. This time last year, I could play as much of the game as I wanted to and lag wasn’t an issue. Now, however, I have so much lag that I can only do my Treasure Hunt and a few TEs before the game - and my laptop - starts to lag badly. And then there’s car balance. While I do understand that lightweight cars are better for racing, all of the cars should have a chance. Marc speaks of making cars in every tier competitive, but the problem is that most cars in said tiers can’t compete period.

What dream car in real life would you love to drive on the autobahn?
That would be the 248 MPH beast of a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. Its ability to go from a standstill to 60 in 2.8 with the power of a GT500 Super Snake and the weight of a Porsche 911 GT3 RS makes it one of the best American supercars ever made.

What is your most memorable moment in any nfs game?
It would have to be the moment you kick Razor’s arrogant arse and get your M3 GTR back. A perfect example of “the only one who truly knows how to control the car is the owner itself”.

What brought you into the NFS franchise?
To be truthful, my first NFS game was Need for Speed III on the PC, but what really got me into the franchise were two things. The first was getting NFS Underground for the Playstation 2. It is a game that I enjoyed so much (I can’t say I still enjoy it, my PS2 died sadly ), that when I found a site by the name of NFSUnlimited.net in 2007, I joined up and started posting my works in the UG-era NFS games I owned for the PS2 (all except Carbon).

Which NFS classic would you like to have in your personal garage?
The race version BMW M3 GTR. Hands down.

How would you rate EAs attempt at bringing an MMO racer back?
I think the majority of World-Garage can agree when I say “Need for Speed World is far from perfect", what with the absurdly high Boost prices in many countries, the skewered balancing of cars, the manifestation of hackers and cheaters, and the list goes on. But hey, for all of its problems, it’s a pretty damn good MMORG. It is the only one, in my honest opinion, that has kept me interested for a good amount of time, unlike TDU2 which was a turnoff as soon as I saw the trailer. Although at least with the Murcielago now available for in-game cash, it’ll be interesting to see how well the free players fare with a Boost buyer such as myself. (Although my last purchase was in March lol)[/quote]

Whats your favorite NFS Title

I think my favorite NFS game is the Most Wanted, I liked the customization from NFSU2 but the gameplay and the feeling of adrenaline and action is more hard in Most Wanted, besides the pursuits add a lot of more extreme sensation, NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and NFSHP 2010 are very good games too! I love em! I love almost every NFS title... I guess Undercover is the exception

What are you doing when not playing NFS

Im working or drawing stuff, recently Im making more photoshop stuff, maybe I will show you what I can do soon. Im studying graphic design, it's an interesting way to spend time because you're studying and at the same time you're having fun! thats how it works for me at least

What dream car in real life would you love to drive on the autobahn

I like hundred of cars! but Im truly in love with the Nissan GT-R V-spec!!!!!!! I love this car, and drive it there should be like to die and go to heaven! however I have an Accord and thats fine for me... Im thinking to buy a Nissan Rogue! well back in topic, yes the GT-R is my only option! I don't have more time to think this, it's so simple for me!

What is your most memorable moment in any nfs game?

My most memorable moment was in NFSMW, in the last pursuit! I finished the game with my brother! And I still remember my reaction when we finished the last race against Razor, and boom! Cross was waiting for me! haha and how to forget his classic "EVERYONE!!!" was so funny! all that part, Oh oh! Almost I forget to say I was so exiting seeing the M3 jumping and going nowhere! (Palmont lol), epic game!

How would you rate EAs attempt at bringing an MMO racer back?

World? pff! I dont know, fine but not enough, was fun in the first betas and even in the first months of the game, but later everything became in Boost, and Im not a hater of the SB but they are exaggerating, the game it's fine I enjoy playing it but they have to work a little bit more on it, I wish you luck, Ok saying this I rate their attempt with 7.8 of 10.

NFS World.

What are you doing when not playing NFS?
I am applying to medical school now, while going to school. In my free time away from the game, I also make youtube videos for NFS World, of which the World Garage community has been a big part.

Whats your favorite car within NFS World?
Up until a week ago, my favorite car in the game was the 911 Turbo. However, after having recently purchased the 991 Carrera Snowflake 2.0, I believe I have found a new favorite to prowell the streets of NFS World.

What brought you into the NFS franchise?
My first taste of an NFS racer was not a racing game at all. At the time, I was into the Test Drive game series for Playstation 1. The Need for Speed team of yore, however, freelanced on a driving level of Tomorrow Never Dies, the game to the James Bond film, and after having played that, I started to get interested in NFS. My real love for the series did not really take hold until purchasing Most Wanted. I have been happy with their games ever since.

How would you rate EAs attempt at bringing an MMO racer back?
I love NFS World. It is a game that keeps me coming back for more. Although it lacks certain wanted gameplay elements, it is its potential which really attracts me the most, and I hope for it to develop into the best racing game ever envisioned. But one thing truly makes the game fun: World Garage. Without the awesome people I have met on this community, World would be a very lonely place. It is with the friends I've made here that I have the most enjoyable times I've ever experienced in a racing game.
